Robert W. Boden, 89, Rockford, died Sun., Feb. 12, 2006, in Rosewood Care Center after a long illness. Born May 16, 1916, in Chicago, the son of Harry and Helen (Nordberg) Boden. Robert married Ruby L. Kling in 1931. Veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in the Pacific Theater during World War II.

Survivors include daughter, Geri (Roland) Berglund; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild. Predeceased by wife, Ruby; daughter, Barbara Long; son-in-law, Jerry Long; and parents.
