MONTGOMERY CENTER – Reuben Allen Brunton, age 58, passed away Monday morning April 12, 2010 at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.

He was born November 4, 1951 in Montgomery Center at the farm where he has lived all of his life, the son of Rosanna (Deuso) Brunton and the late Allen Brunton.

Reuben was a 1970 graduate of Enosburg Falls High School. He was a member of St. Isidores Catholic Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on the farm. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his mother, Rosanna Brunton of Montgomery Center; his children and their families, Jeremy Brunton his wife Tonya and their daughter Jasmine of Ellenburg, NY, and Shannon LaBarge her husband Clarence and their children, Brittany, Troy & Jackson of Churubusco, NY; a brother, Stuart Brunton and his wife Stephanie of Montgomery Center; 2 sisters, Shirley Sturgeon of Enosburg Falls, and Charlene Lathrop of Northfield; several nieces and nephews; his best friend, Gary Longe his wife Melissa and their son Gary of Swanton; and his faithful companion, Lady.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 11:00 AM at St. Isidores Catholic Church with Deacon Jon Ramey officiating. Interment will follow in St. Isidores Cemetery.
