Jackie Nolen, of Alabaster, was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church of Alabaster. He was an Army veteran, and attended Thompson High School in Siluria, as well as Alabama College - The University of Montevallo, where he was a member of The Sigma Club - Theta Sigma Chi fraternity. He worked as an auditor for the National Credit Union Administration and was retired from Mutual Savings Credit Union.
He was survived by his wife, Linda Tucker Nolen of Alabaster; two sons, Ray Curtis Nolen and Scott Thomas Nolen, both of Alabaster; two grandchildren, Bryant Scott Nolen of Hoover and Hollyanna Tucker Wolford of Warrior; his mother, Ruby Geraldine "Jerry" Nolen of Alabaster; three sisters, Rebecca Sue Dyess of Opp, Paula Nolen Vandiver of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Jeannie Nolen Smitherman of Alabaster; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Arthur Nolen of Alabaster.
