A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 15, 2010 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church for Harry Lee Benoit, 67, who died April 13, 2010 at his residence in Crowley after a courageous battle with cancer.

Fr. Gary Schexnayder pastor of St. Michael Catholic Church will be officiating for the services. The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 8 a.m. to the time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Interment will be in Abshire Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Barbara F. Benoit of Crowley; two daughters, Angie Benoit Benoit and her husband, Leland of Marshall, TX, and Darla Benoit Boudreaux and her husband, Jay of Houston, TX; four grandchildren, Adler Benoit, Ethan Benoit, Michael Boudreaux, and Claire Boudreaux; and one brother, Will Benoit and his wife Helen of Crowley. He is also survived by many beloved friends and family who prayed and cried with us throughout his journey.

Mr. Benoit is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Ada Adams Benoit; and one brother, Chester Benoit.
