Spc. Joseph T. Caron, 21, of Tacoma, Wash., died April 11 in Char Bagh, Afghanistan, of wounds sustained when insurgents attacked his unit using an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C. Joey graduated from Washington High School in 2007 where he proudly participated in Air Force JROTC, varsity wrestling and varsity football. He also participated in Martial Arts at the Lenderman Acadamy. He is survived by his father Jeff Caron and mother Tani Hubbard, step mother Karen Caron, step father Mark Hubbard, brother Joshua Caron, sister Cassandra Caron, brother/uncle Patrick Caron, sister Kayla Hubbard, grandparents: Joe and Martha Caron, Mike and Loy Sparling, Bob and Cam Hodge, Al and Marie Nelson, Bud and Adonna Galusha, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
