William Henry Bond, born April 18th, 1866 at Almonte, Lanark CO, Ontario, Canada. Immigration Year to U.S. was 1894.
His parents were George Bond born Lanark CO and Catherine Perrett born CO Limerick, Ireland. Catherine Perrett married George Bond at Carleton Place, Lanark CO on April 15th, 1858. They had three sons and two daughters: Joseph, Sarah Ann Jane (Jennie), William, Eva and George.
William H. Bond married at Aitkin, Aitkin CO, MN to Bessie Edlund on Nov. 10th, 1896. Bessie born Nov. 11th, 1875, Fränsta, Torp parish, Medelpad, Sweden and died on Aug 16th, 1901 at Aitkin. Her grave is marked at Lakeview cemetery, Aitkin.
William H. Bond died on Dec. 3rd, 1915 at Driscoll, Burleigh CO, ND
Found the following notice on page 1 in the Thursday, December 9, 1915 edition of The Palladium (a local newspaper for Bismarck, ND:
DIED AT DRISCOLL-
"William H. bond, formerly of this city, but who had been conducting a barber shop at Driscoll for the past two years, died at that place last Thursday evening, the cause of his death being pneumonia. The remains were taken to Aitkin, Minn., Saturday, for interment."
The catholic church in Driscoll was the Church of St. Anthony. There was first a service there before the family left for Aitkin.
After weeks of searching and looking into leads we found out where he is resting. William H. Bond is buried in the Finnish Lutheran Cemetery at
Finlayson, Pine CO, Minnesota. Part of this area is Aitkin CO too. It is just over the line from Aitkin CO. Finlayson Township is half in Aitkin CO, MN and half in Pine CO, MN.
He is buried alone and his grave is marked with a beautiful stone. You can see stone on findagrave.com, under his name. I do not know why he was not buried with his first wife Bessie in the town of Aitkin. This area that he is buried at is where Rose, his second wife, brothers lived at. One brother went out right away to Driscoll from Minnesota when he heard William had died to help with all the arraignments. But years later they all moved away from this area. William was left all alone. Rose lived almost 50 more years and she never remarried. She is also buried all alone.
From the Pine Co newspaper:
Pine County Courier Newspaper, Sandstone, MN December 9, 1915, Page 3: On Friday Morning (Dec 4th) John H. Arth (of Finlayson) received a telegram announcing the death of his brother-in-law, Wm Bond of Driscoll, ND. Oscar Bonneville (Aitkin), a brother of Mrs. Bond, left at once for Driscoll and the remands were brought here for burial. The funeral was held Monday afternoon, Rew Wittrup of Sandstone officiating. The deceased leaves to mourn, a wife, one daughter and three sons. (Rose's brothers didn't know he had another daughter, Olive, that went to California with the Edlunds in 1910.)
So William Henry Bond's death was written about in four newspapers: Bismarck ND, Aitkin MN, Sandstone MN and Lanark CO, Ontario, Canada. It took a lot of detective work to track him down to see where buried. There is a picture from Driscoll of William with two of his son's; William and Harry, 1914ca. You can see it online.
William had a barber shop in the Grand Central Hotel at Aitkin (info from notes about his death in the Aitkin Republican newspaper). He also had a barber shop in his home town area of Lanark CO in Ontario. Even says barber as occupation on his death certificate as well. The Grand Central Hotel was at the corner of Minnesota Ave and Second Street in present day Aitkin. Second Street was originally named Ash Street and Minnesota Ave was originally named Fourth Street up until 1924. On the 1924 street map of Aitkin, it has both names for the streets listed.
William had five children with two wives.
Children all born at Aitkin of William and Bessie:
1.) Eva Kaye (Bond) Heuertz- born Feb. 1st, 1897. She married John (Jack) Valentine Heuertz 1924. Valentine was born May 4th 1894, Iowa and died June 5th, 1970 at Tacoma, Pierce CO, WA. Eva died on Sept 19th, 1981, at Tacoma. They are buried at Calvary Cemetery in Tacoma and their graves are marked. one child: Mona Mae (Heuertz) Willoughby

2.) George T. Bond born Feb. 18th, 1899. He died on April 4th, 1950,
Tacoma, Pierce CO, WA. Waiting for his obituary. It will be here soon.

3.) Olive Beatrice (Edlund) Elliott, her birth surname was Bond but was raised as a Edlund by her grandparents, after her mother died, at age one. Olive used the surname Edlund. She was born on Feb. 11th, 1901 Aitkin and died on Sept 27th, 1989, Morgan Hill, Santa Clara CO, CA. She was married on Nov. 22nd, 1921 to Albert Elmer Elliott. Albert was born on March 13th, 1897 at Hemit, Riverside CO, CA and died at Morgan Hill on April 19th, 1993. Both are buried at Mount Hope cemetery, Morgan Hill and their graves are marked. Children: Loren, Glenn, Jean Nolan, and Kay Huse.

William remarried to Rose Mary Bonneville on Oct. 12th, 1903, Aitkin.
Rose was born on May 6th, 1879, Moose Creek, Ontario, Canada.
Rose Mary (Bonneville) Bond died on July 29th, 1961, Duluth, St. Louis CO, MN. She is buried at Calvary Cemetery, Duluth. Have obituary. In the obituary two children are NOT mention as survivors; George and Olive but Eva is. Rose is buried alone and her grave is marked.

Children all born at Aitkin of William and Rose:
4.) William Stephen Bond born April 4th, 1904 and died on Feb. 21st, 1995, Duluth. His wife, Cecelia Isenburg, born Nov. 16th, 1907, MN and died on Jan 29th, 2007 Duluth. Have obituary. He worked for General Mills (grain company) for 47 years. They are in a mausoleum at Sunrise Memorial Park, Hermantown (Duluth). No children.

5.) Harry Joseph Bond born April 10th, 1909. He married Merlyn Rose Chartier. Merlyn was born Jan. 24th, 1916 at Cloquet, Carlton CO, MN and died on May 29th, 1961 in Seattle, King CO, WA. Harry died on May 18th, 1969 at Aberdeen, Grays Harbor CO, WA (this is where his son Timothy lived at). He was a railroad ticket and freight agent. They are buried at Holyrood Catholic, Cemetery, Shoreline, a town north of Seattle. Their graves are marked and you can see them on findagrave.com Children: William Henry Bond and Timothy Michael Bond.

In the 1910 Aitkin CO, MN census, the family is still living together
there in the town of Aitkin. William, Rose, George, Eva, William S. and Harry. Olive is living at the Edlund farm (her grandparents) in Nordland Township, Aitkin Co, MN.

In the 1920 federal census, I find Rose living with her two
children, William and Harry, at Father Joseph L. Quillien's residence in Grand Rapids, Itasca CO, MN. It states that she is a widow and the housekeeper for the parish church and rectory. Grand Rapids is half hour north of Aitkin.

Wed. December 8th, 1915 - death At Driscoll, North Dakota, Friday Dec. 3rd, William H. Bond, aged 49 years.
He was the second son of Mr. & Mrs. George Bond, of Lanark (a County of Ontario, Canada). Sisters are; Mrs. J. N. (Eva) Dobbie, of the Clyde Hotel, and Mrs. R. R. (Jennie) Drysdale. He was married twice, having two girls and one boy by his first, and two boys by his second. His brother George F. lives at Sacramento, Cal. We did find this; a small item in the "local news" section in the Bismarck Weekly Tribune mentioning that Miss Eva Bond was called to Driscoll the previous week for the death of her father and that she was expected to return the current week.

Found: 1920 census for Eva K. Bond, living at Driscoll, Burleigh CO, ND. Also, George T. Bond is also living at Driscoll, Burleigh CO, ND (but not with Eva) in the 1920 census. So it looks like the whole family moved out to ND at one time.

On the 1930 census I find Rose Bond living with her sons:

Info about the death of William's mother: Catherine Perrett.
