HOOTEN, FREDDIE F. JR., 75, of St. Petersburg, formerly of Lake Panasoffkee, died Wednesday (May 2, 2001) at the VA Medical Center at Bay Pines. Born in Webster, he came here in 1991 from Lake Panasoffkee. He was a veteran of the Coast Guard and was a member of the Retired Officers Association, American Legion Post 273 and the Madeira Beach and Holiday Isles Elks lodges. Survivors include three sons, John Goolsby, Maui, Hawaii, Jeffrey Hooten, Seminole, and Freddie F. Hooten III, Bushnell; three daughters, Charlotte Koger, Largo, and Bobbie Lansing and Mollie Szydlowski, both of Seminole; and 11 grandchildren. E. James Reese Funeral Home & Crematory, Seminole.
