15 Oct 1903: Daniel H. Eberly, of Millcreek, died on Tuesday night at 9 o'clock, of dropsy. He was aged 85 years. His wife died four years ago. He was the oldest resident of Millcreek and a good, honest, Christian upright man and a member of St. Paul's Reformed Church, of Millbach, and will be missed by many. He was a good father. He is survived by eleven children, eight daughters and three sons, Mrs. Abr. Tschudy, this city; Mrs. David Livering, this city; Mrs. Wesley Hamling, Ephrata, Mrs. Jacob Hehnly, Newtown; Mrs. Wm. Shanaman, Robesonia; Mrs. Jacob Gockley, Reinhold's Station; Mrs. James Sherman, Newmanstown; Mrs. Henry Krumbine, Kleinfeltersville; Daniel and Henry Eberly, at Kleinfeltersville, and Samuel, at home. He is also survived by 54 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. Rev. A. J. Bachman, of Schaefferstown, will conduct the services. Wm. Knoll, of Richland, is the undertaker. [Lebanon Daily News]
