Mrs. John Kelso died Sunday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. James Hoke of Mongul. She was aged 79 years, 9 months and 16 days. Mrs. Kelso was born in Lancaster county, but had been a highly esteemed resident of Lurgan township the past 57 years. She was a member of the Lurgan United Brethren Church.
She is survived by the following children: Mrs. James Hoke, Mongul; Samuel Kelso, Davenport, Iowa; Harry Kelso, Mowersville; Mrs. William Bittinger, near Chambersburg; Mrs. John Walters, Orrstown; T. W. Kelso, Chambersburg, and Mrs. Emma Alleman of Roxbury. Her husband died 21 years ago.
Funeral services, with Rev. Coulson and Rev. Peary officiating, were held Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock in the U. B. Church at Mongul and internment was made in Spring Hill cemetery.
