Rose, age 84, of Waunakee, died on Tuesday at Homestead Living in Waunakee. She was born to Joseph & Marie (Lamberty) Koellen. She grew up in the Sauk area. She was married to Henry "Hank" Schroeder and he preceded her in death in 2001. Rose worked at one time at Badger Ordnance, Waunakee Canning Co., Swiss Colony and for the Waunakee Schools food service. One of her favorite pastimes was knitting. She was a longtime member of St John's Catholic Church. Survivors include a brother, Merlin (Millie) Koellen of Irvine, CA; sisters-in-law, Delores Pronold of Middleton, WI, and Cathy Schroeder of Verona, WI; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, George and Doris Schroeder of Waunakee, WI; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Thursday at St. John's Catholic Church, Waunakee with Monsignor James Gunn will officiate. The family would like to thank the staff at Homestead Living and HospiceCare for the care provided to Rose. Winn-Cress Funeral and Cremation Service assisted with arrangements.
