Mrs. Boykin, a native of Perry County, resided in Mount Vernon. Survivors include 11 children, Henry James McCants of Louisville, Ky., Herbert McCants, Edna Quartey and Eddie Lee Boykin Jr., all of Mobile, Shirley Flott, Clara Jackson, Barbara England, Rosel Boykin, Chenary Boykin, Carolyn Boykin and Elbert Boykin, all of Mount Vernon; four brothers, Hugh Lee Jones and Walter Jones, both of Mount Vernon, Solomon Jones of Pascagoula, Miss., and Otis Jones of Bayou La Batre; 43 grandchildren, including one reared as a son, Roderick Boykin of Mount Vernon; and 19 great-grandchildren. Viewing will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Christian Benevolent Funeral Home and also after 11 a.m. Saturday at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Mount Vernon, with visitation at noon and services at 1 p.m. Interment will be in Morning Star Cemetery.
