Walter F. Luttrell was born October 10, 1911, in Republic County, Kansas, the son of Walter T. and Clara Pearce Luttrell.  He was married to Bernice Polley on March 12, 1938, in Oskaloosa. He owned and operated Sudden Service Cafe at 509 S.E. Quincy street, in Topeka, and Luttrell's Fine Foods, 119 S.E. 6th street, and was past president of the Topeka Restaurant Association. Mr. Luttrell was inducted into the Kansas Restaurant Hall of Fame in 1981. He was a member of Topeka Lodge No. 17 AF&AM, Scottish Rite Bodies, Arab Shrine, Topeka Moose Lodge No. 555 and First Presbyterian Church, where he was a former deacon. Besides his wife, survivors included a son, Donald E. Luttrell, and a brother, Harvey Luttrell.
