Mrs. Welch had been seriously ill for about four months past and during the last days her condition was very critical, there being periods when all expectation of recovery was abandoned. Deceased was forty-nine years of age.
She was born In the town of Algoma, where her father is a pioneer farmer. Her husband, who passed away many years ago, was at one time a commercial salesman and was widely known. Mrs. Welch was very highly esteemed. She was closely devoted to her home and moot of her life was spent in Oshkosh.
Those surviving are a son, Harvey D. Welch of the Medberry-Findelsen Co., a daughter, Miss Nelie E. Welch, of Oshkosh, the parents, Mr. and Mrs. George T. Knapp of the town of Algoma, also four sisters and one brother. Mrs. A. B. Medberry, Mrs. William Crossett and Mrs. Georgia Knapp, all this city, and Mrs. H. D. Ballard and Irving C. Knapp, both of the town of Algoma.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 2:30 o'clock from the late residence, 387 Jackson street, Rev. E. H. Smith officiating. The pall bearers will be K. E. Bemis, F. B. Ives, M. C. Phillips. II. L. Bacon, Julius Kiel, E. A. Potter.
