Mr. Sullivan E. Wilcox, 84, of Columbia, Mo., formerly of St. Clair County, passed away suddenly Monday evening, November 9, 1987 at his home.
Mr. Wilcox was born in St. Clair County and lived in the area until moving to Columbia 22 years ago. He was retired from the University of Missouri at Columbia.
He is survived by his wife, Helen, of the home; two sons, Sullivan E. Wilcox, Jr. of Lowry City, Mo. and Dale Wilcox of Columbia; four daughters; Mrs. Barbara McKee of La Tour, Mo., Mrs. Linda Means of Blue Springs, Mo., Mrs. Cheryl Bailey and June Wallace both of Columbia, Mo.; two sisters; Mrs.Sylvia Grower of Kansas City, Mo.and Mrs. Lillian Postlewaite of Osceola, Mo.; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday, November 12, at 10:00 A.M. at the Sheldon-Goodrich Chapel in Osceola, Mo. with Rev. Stanley Owens officiating. Burial will be in the Lowry City Cemetery under direction of the Goodrich-Sheldon Funeral Home in Osceola.
Family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Goodrich-Sheldon Chapel in Osceola.
