OBIT: Wappingers Falls, New York
"Diane Allende
WAPPINGERS FALLS - Diane Allende (see Scavone) of Wappingers Falls, NY passed away at age 62 on April 16, 2010, at Westchester Medical Center. Diane was born in Brooklyn on February 13, 1948. Most of her life she resided in Long Island and Queens. In 2005 she moved to Wappingers Falls where she lived with and whom she left behind, her daughter and son in-law Daneen and John Weatherup, along with her grandchildren John Anthony Jr., age 5, and Brayden Michael, age 2, who were her pride and joy. Also surviving is her husband Ivan, along with her beloved sister Marion Marino of Elmont, NY, her niece Jean Marie and her three boys. Also, her loving brother Al Scavone from Florida and his family.
In life, Diane enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and watching them grow. In the warmer months, she would float in the pool for hours on end and her serenity was sitting outside with nature, listening to the birds sing. She also loved shopping at Walmart. She was like a kid in a candy store. Most importantly, Diane was a devout Christian and her love and faith for our Savior Jesus Christ was like no other. She lived her life according to His word. She will live in our hearts as a kind, thoughtful, faithful spirit. Diane will be terribly missed by her family and friends, but it brings much comfort knowing she is dancing, singing, and rejoicing in God's Kingdom. As we know that "those who live in the Lord never see each other for the last time." So this isn't goodbye Mom- I love you always. A Christian service will be held Saturday, April 24, 2:30pm at the Vineyard Church on Route 82 in Hopewell Junction, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the American Liver Foundation or St. Jude's Children's Hospital."
Paternal Grandparents:
Michele and Mariantonia (Albano) Scavone
