Millie was born in Maplewood, Nova Scotia, a dau. of Angus and Elmira (Kaulbach) Baker, and attended local schools. She was a teacher in a one-room schoolhouse in North River, Nova Scotia, when she met her husband, Stanley Hugo Wentzell. They were married 9 Nov 1918. She lived with her husband in Bethel and in 1945 moved to Gorham, Coos co., NH. in 1969 they began spending their winters in Spring Hill, FL and their summers at Songo Pond in Albany, ME.
Mrs. Wentzell was an active member of the Grace Presbyterian Church in Spring Hill and the Albany Congregational Church at Hunt's Corner in Albany. She enjoyed helping others and was honored to be the oldest Grand Marshal at the 1996, Bethel Bicentennial. Her husband died in 1978 and is buried here also in the family plot.
