Mrs. Charles Sales died on Tuesday evening at her home on Bozeman street from inflammatory rheumatism, having been sick for several weeks with this painful disease, which finally affected her heart and, being already somewhat weak from several weeks' sickness, she passed away surrounded by the members of her family.
Mrs. Sales has been a resident of the valley for a number of years, and by her kindness to all who were in need of help or consolation she gained the esteem of all, and in her character as mother, wife, neighbor and friend she won the love of all who surrounded her.
The funeral took place on Thursday afternoon from the Episcopal church. Rev. F. B. Lewis reading the beautiful burial service of the Episcopal church. The coffin was covered with flowers and wreaths of many and beautiful designs. The remains were followed to the grave by a large concourse of people.
Mrs. Sales was the mother of ex-County Recorder Walter H. Sales, Allan Sales, Mrs. Perry, Mary Sales and Reno Sales, all of whom together with her husband, Charles Sales, she leaves behind to mourn her loss.
