Mr. George Barnard, age 80 of Rocky Face, departed this life at Hamilton Mecical Center.
He was the son of the late Jessie and Adeline Stevenson Barnard and was also preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Sara Jane and Vick Boyd; brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Mildred Barnard; brother-in-law, J.C. McMillam.
George retired from Strain Poultry Farms after 40 plus years of services. He was a member of Grove Level Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Sarah Ellen Caldwell Barnard; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Tom Kinnamon; son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Mary Ann Barnard; sister; Dorothy McMillan and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services were held in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with Dr. Ronald W. McKinney officiating. Burial was in the Varnell Cemetery.
