Mrs. Lena Addie English, 78, of Kennard, died Sunday afternoon, Oct. 15, in the Houston County Hospital.
Mrs. English was born in Houston County on Nov. 21, 1893, and had lived here her entire lifetime. She was a member of the Kennard Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. in the Kennard Baptist Church, with Rev. Frank Oswald and Rev. Oscar Lock officiating. Interment was in the Ivie Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Reagon English, Rex English, David English, Roger English, Mike English, Merle Lock, Marcus English and Jimmy Tunstall.
Survivors include three sons, R. C. English of Kennard, A. B. English, Jr. of Aspermont and Max English of Lufkin; a daughter, Mrs. J. E. Tunstall of Crockett; two sisters, Mrs. T. B. Greer of Chireno and Mrs. T. G. Metteauer of Beaumont; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.
