MRS. H. S. MAGGARD

Mrs. Margaret Quinn-Maggard was born at Kentland, Ind., March 16, 1875. She moved with her parents to Furnas County, Neb. in the year 1879, where she grew to womanhood.

She was united in marriage to H. S. Maggard Sept. 12, 1893. To this union were born three children: Grace, Ernest and John. Ernest died in infancy. Grace and John survive her.

She moved with her family to Culbertson, Neb., in the year 1917, at which place they lived at the time of death, which came suddenly and unexpectedly Sunday, December 30, 1923. She was a devoted wife, a loving wife, and a kind neighbor. Her last words were: "Meet me in Heaven".

She leaves to mourn a husband, two children and four grandchildren. The children are Mrs. Grace Frase and John Maggard of Culbertson, Neb. Grandchildren are: Mabel, Loretta, Fern and Opal Frase. Three brothers: Wm. Quinn of Sheldon, Ill., Thomas Quinn of Oxford, Neb., and Mike Quinn of Beaver City, Neb. The sisters are Mrs. Ella Wagerman of Beaver City, Neb., and Mrs. Anna Berner of Oxford, Neb., besides nephews and nieces and a host of other relatives and neighbors who join them in this sad hour of bereavement.

The funeral was held in the Methodist Church of Oxford with a large number present to show their sympathy. Sermon by the pastor, Rev. T. E. Gillette. Burial in the Oxford Cemetery.

"A precious one from us is gone,
A voice we loved is stilled;
A place is vacant in our home,
Which never can be filled".
