He was the son of James Farley and Anna Hyduke.

Don was the husband of Laura Rose Fares.

The US Census taken April 19, 1930 lists the following household members, all children born in NJ, and all living at 248 Pearl Street in Trenton, Mercer Co., NJ:

Employed as an Electrical Engineer with the Plasma Physics Labortatory at Princeton University, he received an A.A. degree from Trenton Junior College in 1951, a B.S. degree from Lafayette College in 1953 and an M.S. degree from Drexel University in 1959.

Don also taught as an Engineering Professor at Trenton Junior College for 6 years during the early 1960's.
