"YOUTH HELD IN JAIL PENDING CORONER'S JURY VERDICT IN DEATHS OF TWO WOMEN. SATURDAY AUTO ACCIDENT TAKES LIVES OF SISTERS. MRS. LIZEM BUSHEY, MRS. JEROME CHAVIE, CRASH VICTIMS; RITES WEDNESDAY. LEONARD VANDERBOOM DRIVER OF CAR, HELD. CORONER'S INQUEST TO BE HELD TUESDAY AT 10 a.m. MC CARTHY FUNERAL HOME. Leonard Vanderboom, Route 4, Faribault, is being held in the Rice county jail today, awaiting a coroner's inquest tuesday morning at 10:00 o'clock regarding the automobile accident Saturday night in which one woman was instantly killed and in which her sister received fatal injuries. Mrs. Lizem Bushey, 61, was killed instantly when she and her sister, Mrs. Jerome Chavie, 58, were struck by the car driven by Vanderboom Saturday evening as they were crossing Seventh street at Third avenue. Mrs. Chavie was taken to the St. Lucas hospital where she died Sunday morning about 4:30.....DOUBLE FUNERAL RITES. A joint funeral service will be held Wednesday morning, April 26 from the Sacred Heart church, with the Rev. I. Domestici officiating. The services will begin at 9:30 o'clock. Burial for Mrs. Bushey will be made in St. Lawrence cemetery. Mrs. Chavie is survived by her husband and five children, Vincent, Mrs. Louis Caron, Mrs. Fred Chappuis, Albina and Jerome, Jr. Mrs. Bushey is survived by her husband and ten children, Mrs. Ed. Dwyer, Mrs. Fred Brule, Minneapolis, Wilfred, George, Lizem, Jr., Culbert, Mrs. Cora Marty, Minneapolis, Mrs. Leonard Bokman, Emma and Mary. Two sisters survive, Mrs. John Chavie, Sr., and Mrs. Edmond LeMieux of Shieldsville township. Mrs. Chavie was formerly Miss Alice Duvol [sic] and Mrs. Bushey was Miss Celina Duvol [sic]."
