Wayne Barrow was the eldest child of Arthur Clint and Wilma Lee (Ladd) Barrow and lived most of his early life in Mont Belvieu, Chambers County, TX. He attended Sam Houston State University and coached briefly for several years. He later became an agent for State Farm Insurance in Kingwood, where he operated one of the most successful agencies in the state. He was survived by his three sons, Lloyd, John and James Barrow.
