Gladys Viola Hosler was born to Minnie Martha Trabant and Elmer Ellis Hosler in Ordway, Colorado. She was an exuberant outdoors woman. She would often get lost for hours while fishing. Well, everyone but her thought she was lost; she was just having fun. She sometimes did radio shows on gardening. She was active in her church and community. She loved to travel, and did so well into her 70's. She married Henry Stanley White on December 28, 1922. Four children were born of this marriage. Stan White passed away on April 14, 1964.
