Services for W.T. "John" Green, 101, were held at the Olney Assembly of God Church.

Green had lived in Olney most of his life with some time in Seymour, Goree and Bowie.

W.T. Green and Fannie Mae Huff married 7 January 1912 at Olney, Texas by Rev. Roach, of the Methodist Church.

They reared their children on a farm north of Olney. Green's father was a Methodist minister at Anarene in 1912.

Although a retired farmer, Green enjoyed working and was an avid fisherman. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

Survived by four sons - Harrell Green of Midland, Fred Green of Graham, George Green of Olney, DeWitt Green of Goree; one daughter - Margarette Dozier of Murray; 12 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great-grandchilden.
