The accident occurred about 1½ miles southeast of Munday on FM 1587.
Phillip, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Roy Leflar, was born Sept. 11, 1955 in Knox City. He would have been a freshman in Munday High School and was active in football, basketball and track.
He was a member of the Munday Church of Christ.
Surviving are his parents; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Ora Lee Leflar of Munday; maternal grandmother, Mrs. P. C. Phillips of Munday; two sisters, Mrs. Toni Anderson and Mrs. Jackye Wheeler, both of Lubbock; a brother, Bill, in Vietnam.
