Robert G. Kossow
Funeral services were held last Friday in Sacramento for former Gridley resident Robert G. Kossow, who died June 5 at the age of 74.
Kossow was born May 29, 1915 in Deer River, Minnesota. He moved to Gridley in 1928 and graduated from Gridley High School in 1935.
He attended UCLA and Chico State, where he graduated with a business degree.
He was an auditor for the Employment Development Department of California from 1942 until his retirement in 1977.
In January 1955, he married Lucy Meyer of Sacramento.
Survivers include his wife, Lucy Kossow; two sons, Thomas of the Virgin Islands and Daniel of Sacramento; a sister, Lucile Wheeler of Gridley; a grandson Charles Kossow of Sacramento; and several nieces and nephews.
