Born Aug.10, 1907 in Joplin, she was the daughter of Victor Frances Paullas and Mary Jane Endicott Paullas and lived in Joplin her lifetime. A home maker, she also worked sever years for the former Katz store, one year for the former Holl Dress Store and was a seamstress for the former Elder Manufacturing in Webb City and also worked for American laundry. She was a member of Forest Park Baptist Church.
On Jun 7, 1926 she married Chester C. Smith in Joplin. He preceded her in death on June 11, 1945. Two son, Carl Smith and Bob Gatewood, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, George Davids Smith and Richard Michael Smith, both of Joplin;two daughters, Wanda Gooch of Joplin, Barbara Hunt of Webb City; a half sister Dorthy Russell of Wagoner, Ok. 23 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and great=great-grandchildren.
