Kenneth left the family farm in Innisfil, Ont. to sail too but left this to go to Schumacher where he became engineer at the Preston East Dome Mines. Leaving the mining country he came to Niagara Falls for a short period before becoming Chief Engineer at the BA Oil plant in Clarkson when the plant was in its infancy. He married Henrietta Lee and they had one son, Douglas who graduated from Western University as a doctor. Douglas practiced at one time at Hudson Hope BC
