Lucille Irene Adam, 91, Bonaparte, died at 1:05 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 19, 2000, at Van Buren County Hospital, Keosauqua, Iowa.
She was born Aug. 13, 1908, near Franklin, the daughter of John and Laura Handrich Specht. She married Joe Adam, April 9, 1932, at West Point. He preceded her in death March 30, 1979.
She was a homemaker and lived the last 50 years in rural Bonaparte and was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Farmington (IA), and the Altar and Rosary Society.
She is survived by seven daughters, Mrs. Joe (Dolores) Lagemann, Center, MO, Mrs. Bob (Theola) Householder, Eldon, Mrs. Ron (Bernadette) Cass, Oak Harbor, WA, Mrs. Greg (Dianna) Coppage, Claremore, OK, Mrs. Kent (Bonita) Wright, Camano Island, WA, Mrs. Tom (Kathy) Bartholomew, Keosauqua and Mrs. Mark (Ellen) Meek, Bonaparte; four sons, Marvin (wife Debra), Blaine, WA, Darrell (wife Judy), Hillsboro, Donnie (wife Karyl) Eolia, MO and Gary (wife Sheryl), Bonaparte; two sisters, Marie Ann Johnson, Knoxville and Thelma Hardcastle, Royalton, IL; one brother, Harry Specht, Scott City, Kan.; many nieces and nephews, 33 grandchildren, 57 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, one son-in-law, her parents, two sisters and three brothers.
Hofbauer Funeral Home, Farmington, was in charge of arrangements.
Funeral services were held at 10:30, Wednesday, Feb. 23, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Farmington, with Rev. David Wilkening officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, West Point.
