ROSINTON -- Carlos Edward Cooper, 79, died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2001, in an Irvine, Calif., hospital. A native of Rosinton, Cooper was a former resident of Fairhope. He graduated from Robertsdale High School in 1940 and attended Auburn University. Cooper also served in the U.S. Marines during World War II. He is survived by his wife Carolyn Jane Cantway of Irvine, Calif.; one daughter, Sally Cooper Jehangiri of Irvine, Calif.; two sons, Carlos Cooper Jr. and John Riley Cooper, both of Mission Viejo, Calif.; one sister, Dorothy Cooper Martin of Bay Minette; and eight grandchildren. In celebration of his life, Cooper will be honored during the regular worship service of Rosinton United Methodist Church at 10 a.m. Sunday. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
