"Grandma was baptized, confirmed & married at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Soest, Fort Wayne.

She worked at Wayne Knitting Mills prior to marriage. She was an excellent quilter; she made each of her 9 grandchildren a quilt.

She made the BEST molasses cookies (never used a recipe) which she kept in a clear cookie jar - I don't ever remember it being empty.

It brings a smile to my face as I only remember Grandma speaking German if she didn't want prying little ears to understand what she was discussing.

I have so many great memories of Grandma from being a little girl staying at the farm to being an adult playing cards."
