Lizzie died at age 2 and is buried in the Killeen City Cemetery. Their son Raymond died at age 20 from a drowning accident while he was attending the University of Texas in Austin.
Obituary:
" Mrs. W. A. Stephens, 91, died Thursday in Fort Worth, where she had lived since 1941. She was a former resident of Cleburne.
Mrs. Stephens was born Dec. 8, 1880 in Killeen, the daughter of I. C. and Amanda Johnson Fletcher.
She and her husband moved to Cleburne in 1903, where he was connected with Dickson Hardware and Furniture Store for many years. He preceded her in death in 1951.
Mrs. Stephens was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. She belonged to Pansy Grove No. 40, Supreme Forest Woodman of the World Circle for 63 years.
She is survived by three sons, Marvin G. Stephens and Willard A. Stephens of Fort Worth and Joseph E. Stephens of Arlington; one daughter, Mrs. Robert M. Cate of Forth Worth, 10 grand-children and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be Saturday, 10 a.m. in the chapel of Gause-Ware Funeral Home, Fort Worth. The minister of the West Berry Street Church of Christ will officiate. A graveside service will be held at Cleburne Memorial Cemetery at 11:30 a.m.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Dr. Marvin G. Stephens, Jr., J. Barry Stephens, Edward A. Stephens, Robert L. Cate, David Hart, Richard Reich, Thomas Sessions and Dr. Gerald Lehmann."
