Alma F. Butcher was born December 19, 1903, in Dickinson County. She died March 29, 1987, at St. John's Hospital, Salina.

Mrs. Butcher had been a Salina resident since 1921. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary to United Transportation Union.

Her husband, Walter, died in 1968. Survivors included a daughter, Nancy L. Mitchell; a brother, Charles Sexton; three sisters, Lena Simms, Lula Duncan and Martha Richardson; and three grandchildren.
