He had seven siblings: Elisa Turine, Hilma Austina, Estilda Oline, Anne Mathilde, Selmer Gunerius, Margit Amelia, and one unknown baby.
Passed Away
At the home of his mother in this township on Saturday, March 25th took place the death of Martin Albertin Asbjornson, age 33, after a lingering illness, from inflamation of the lungs. Martin was one of our bright young men, of a happy disposition, true and honest as steel, and would never stop if possible to give a helping hand to a friend in need. He was born in Wisconsin, Aug. 29th, 1882. He is remembered by a sorrowing mother, Mrs. Sissel Asbjornson, sisters Mrs. John Espeseth of Olga, Mrs. Julius Hagen of this place, Mrs. Knut Huso of Fosston, Mrs. John Johnson and Mrs. Martin Hildred of Petersbug, N. Dak. and a brother Selmer Asbjornson of this place. A number of relatives and friends escorted the remains to its last resting place at the Silver Creek Cemetery, Wednesday. The church was beautifully decorated and the casket loaded with many flower offerings. Rev. O. M. Stensgaard spoke the comforting words.
