He was born Sept. 24, 1915, in Middletown, the son of Charles and Pearl (Anderson) Boyle.
James was a lifelong farmer in the Middletown and Greensboro area. He was a member of the Greensboro Masonic Lodge 175 and the Indianapolis Shriners.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joy L. Boyle; parents; son, Charles P. Boyle; daughter; Gloria Boyle; sister, Rosanna Wheeler; and granddaughter, Rhonda Sexton.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Condo and Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson. Burial will follow in Miller Cemetery in Middletown. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Greensboro Masonic Lodge 175 will conduct Masonic services at 7 p.m.
Memorial donations can be made to Greensboro Masonic Lodge 175.
