Final rites for Charlie Alford, 46, Springfield, Missouri, will be held Thursday at 1 pm at the Mt. Zion church. Rev. Frank Smith will conduct the services and interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery, Peck directing.

Alford, a former Morgan County resident, died Tuesday in Sikeston, Missouri.

Survivors include his mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. A.C. "Joe" Alford, Hartselle 3; four sisters, Mrs. W.O. Thompson, Hartselle; Mrs. Walter Oden, Cullman; Mrs. Eula Dunlap, Falkville; and Mrs. Albert Gibson, Birmingham; four brothers, Jessie A., Hartselle; Elmer, Albert, and Leldon Alford, all of Birmingham.

Pallbearers will be nephews, Arnold Thompson, Edward Thompson, Floyd Thompson, Leon Alford, Howard Alford, and Billy Gibson.

The deceased was a member of the Mt. Zion church.

TRUCK DRIVED DIED SUDDENLY AT OREN

Funeral services will be held today in Hartselle, Ala., for Charles Alford, 46 years old, who died at Oran about noon Tuesday of a heart ailment. Alford. driver of a towel-service truck, was delivering fresh towels to a customer in Oran. Witnesses said that Alford went to the rear of the truck to pick up the fresh towels and failed to appear again for some time. Those nearby became concerned, looked in the rear of the truck and found Alford had collapsed on the floor of the truck. Coroner Clyde Poe said his death was due to a heart attack. He is survived by his parents, two brothers and a sister all of Hartselle. Alford lived in Springfield, Mo.
