Jessie Persinger Teegarden, 102, died Saturday, March 29, 2008, at Cedar Ridge Health Campus, in Cynthiana, Kentucky. She was born September 7, 1905, to the late Silas and Ora Hargett Persinger and was the widow of John Teegarden, whom she married December 25, 1921. She was a member of Neave Methodist Church and the Neave Methodist Womens Society.
Survivors include: two daughters, Florine Hiles, of Brooksville, Kentucky, and Carolyn Traylor Baker, of Florence, Kentucky; 18 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Christine Persinger Teegarden, of Brooksville. She was preceded in death by: three daughters and three sons, Eileen King, Juanita Askins, Erma Teegarden, Harold Teegarden, Glenn Teegarden and Leland Teegarden and an infant child; two brothers and three sisters, Russell Persinger, John Lee Persinger, Katherine Brooks, Edith Thomas, and Bessie Hull; and one grandson, Jim Hiles.
Funeral will be Tuesday, April 1, at 3:00 p.m. at Neave Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will take place in Neave Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Neave Methodist Church.
