Having been appointed by Corrinth Primitive Baptist Church to write a memorial to our beloved Brother in Christ, Elder T. O. Cowart, Sr., who passed away June 20, 1972, we wish to submit the following:
Elder Cowart united with the Primitive Baptist Church of Christ in the year 1918, along with his wife Amy Brannon Cowart. He was ordained as a minister in February, 1935. He remained a faithful member and Elder until his death.
Elder Cowart was married to Amy Brannon Cowart in January, 1907 and to this union was born 10 children. Brother Cowart was born October, 1886 and died at the age of 85, June 20, 1972. Those of us who remain are witnesses that Elder Cowart fought the Good Fight of Faith, first Timothy 6-12. We feel the family, church, and friends have suffered loss but it is his gain. “For to me to live is Christ and to die is gain”, Phillipiams 1-21.
The church and friends at Corrinth extend our heartfelt sympathy and respect to the family of Elder Cowart.
Humble submitted by your Brother in Christ,
Dennis R Houston and Elder O C Crabtree
