Jim Byers was a tall, slim man. He worked at the Universal Atlas Cement Plant in Leeds, and lived next to his brother, Aubrey, in homes that they built. He was husband to Clyde Harding Byers, and father to James C. Byers, Julia Byers Dorsett, and Billy Hugh Byers.
