Mrs. I.V. Bartlett, 92, of Bremen, Georgia, passed away, Friday, September 7, 2007.

She was born November 3, 1914 in Carroll County, Georgia to the late Charlie and Emma Tant Thompson. Mrs. Bartlett was a very loving mother and grandmother with a wonderful sense of humor. She often said that a good laugh was better for you than a dose of medicine. She will dearly be missed.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Milford W. Bartlett; son, Wayne Bartlett; and brother, Q.P. Thompson. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Jan and Bill Cheatwood, Evelyn Holdbrooks and Betty and Charlie Sanders. She has 9 grandchildren, Chris Belans, Darren Lodge, Phil and Tony Holdbrooks, Gail Godwin, Amy Newton, Susan Scro, Chuck Sanders and Ron Tubberville; 13 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Tues, Sept 11, 2007 at 2pm from Waco Baptist Church in Waco with Reverend Ricky Shadrix officiating. Mrs. Bartlett will be placed in state at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow in the Waco Cemetery with grandsons, Chris Belans, Darren Lodge, Phillip Holdbrooks, Tony Holdbrooks, Chuck Sanders and Will Newton serving as Pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Sunday, Sept 9, 2007 from 2-4 and on Monday, Sept 10, 2007 from 5-8 at Hightower's Memorial Chapel in Douglasville.
