Blanche helped 100 years later in finding the grave of Charlotte Sara Gardner Wilson which had been missing for over 100 years. The stone was broken and because there were no records, no one knew who was buried at that grave. Thomas M. Freitas submitted a copy of the family bible that states the following: "Charlotte G. Wilson died Sept 7 in 1874 "Blind Grandmother" in great peace near Filmore Co Nebraska. Buried in Grafton Neb. age 86 years." Then later in the bible, under Blanche Edith Evans name it states: "Blanche Edith Evans died July 5, 1880 Buried beside Blind Grandmother in Grafton Nebraska" Because Blanche Edith Evans stone is still there, the Nebraska Historical Society accepted that the broken stone next to Blanche had to be that of Charlotte Sara Gardner Wilson.
