David E. Welch, the father of former Nashville resident and town attorney David L. Welch, died Monday, September 18, 1995, at his home in Bloomington. He was 67.
Mr. Welch was born March 24, 1928, in Bloomington to Louis Cleveland and Ruby Olive King Welch.
His wife, Ingelore H. Welch, survives in Bloomington.
Mr. Welch was graduated from Indiana University's School of Business in 1955. He worked as a manufacturing engineer for RCA in Bloomington before his retirement.
Mr. Welch was a United States Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Disabled Veterans of America and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include a daughter, Irene Welch of Detroit; three sons, David L. Welch and Theodore A. Welch, both of Bloomington, and Hans Welch of Carlisle, Pennsyl- vania; two sisters, Mary Lu Rob- inson of Fort Worth, Texas, and Nancy Bitters of Williamstown, New Jersey; and a grandson, David E. Welch II of Bloomington.
A service was conducted Wednesday, September 20, at the Day Mortuary in Bloomington.
Burial was in Monroe County's Mt. Gilead Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, in care of the funeral home.
