Carrie Viola Bigler, 89, of Huntington, IN, died Friday, Jan. 16, 2009, at 7:56 p.m. at Parkview Huntington Hospital.

Mrs. Bigler retired in 1982 from MagneTek (Triad-Utrad). She was a member of the Faith Community Church of God in Huntington.

She was born Nov. 18, 1919, in Huntington to Charles and Hazel E. DeWitt Pressler. She married Gilbert Bigler on April 16, 1943. He preceded her in death on Sept. 25, 2005.

Survivors include a son, Lawrence G. (Carol) Bigler, of Huntington; two daughters, Kathleen C. Montgomery and Charlene C. Bolding, both of Huntington; a sister, Patricia Grodrian, of Lafayette; nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; and 21 great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2009, at Bailey-Love Mortuary, Huntington, with Rev. Stephen Stull officiating. Pallbearers were Todd Bolding, Dru Bolding, Harold Steele, Bob Johnson, Joel Bigler and Ben Gregory.

Burial was in Pleasant Chapel Cemetery, Huntington County.

Memorials may be made to the Faith Community Church of God in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington, IN 46750.
