Beavers funeral planned Monday

Lander - Services for Mrs. Edythe Sylvana Beavers, 84, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Chapel of Mount Hope of Hudson's Funeral Home.

The Rev. David Donkle of the United Methodist Church will officiate.

Mrs. Beavers died Thursday at the Platte County Memorial Hospital at Wheatland.

She was born April 28, 1893, in Monmouth, Ill.

In 1918 she married Phillip Dale Beavers at Glasgow, Mont.

Mrs. Beavers had taught school in Canada and at Glasgow. After her marriage to Beavers, who was a disabled World War I veteran, they moved to Challis, Idaho, to homestead. She owned and operated the B and B Motel in Shoshoni from 1946 to 1970.

Mrs. Beavers was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Shoshoni.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1935 and one son.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Delora May Flyer of Guernsey and Mrs. Trudy Brown of Lander. She is also survived by one sister and seven brothers, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
