Mildred Author Andes Napier Hensley Morris, 77, of Charlottesville went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on Saturday, July 31, 2004, with her loving family surrounding her.

Born Sept. 27, 1926, in Charlottesville, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Clinton Andes and Ella Frances Batten. She was also preceded in death by her two husbands, John G. Napier and Clyde E. Morris; three sisters, Lucille McDaniel, Charlotte C. Andes and Dorothy M. Andes; three brothers, Charlie James Andes (Chuck) and Lerty Lee Andes (Sonny), and William Rogers Andes (Billy); three grandsons, William C. Collier Jr., and twins, Herring.

Survivors include her three daughters, Mildred Napier Bennett and her husband, David, of Charlottesville, Betty Hensley Thomas of Charlottesville, and Dollie Hensley Gabbert and her husband, Gene, of West Virginia; two sisters, Betty Cason and her husband, Tex, of Lexington, and Nora A. Beverly of Crozet; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; 12 nephews; six nieces; and her ex-husband, Claude V. Hensley of New York.

The family would like to thank all the staff at Trinity Mission Nursing Home for their loving care and special thanks to Andrea Dudley, Dr Degnan whom Mom loved so well for all his help and also thanks to Dr. Gazewood.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3042-D Berkmar Drive, Charlottesville, VA 22901.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2004, at the Hill & Wood Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Sandy Kelso officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain Plains Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2004, at Hill & Wood Funeral Home.
