Mary Jane Grant, age 69, succumbed to Lobar Pneumonia on Monday January 19th, in 1920.

Daughter of Henry Warfield and America Terrell, she married William Grant, son of John Henry Grant and Mahala Hubbs.

Mary Jane and William lived in Knox County Kentucky thruout their lifetime. Here they lived and farmed the land that William owned mortgage free by 1900 and here they provided for and nurtured their (6) children: Joseph H (md Josie nee Grant); Margaret Ellen (md Esom Engle); Amanda C (md James Engle); Madison Franklin (md Nannie Sue Engle); Martha Alice and America E Grant.

On Tuesday, January 20th 1920, Mary was laid to rest in Grant Cemetery, Indian Creek in Knox County, where she was later joined by several of her children. William preceded her in death in 1909; have not yet located his burial site.
