Before retirement, she had worked as a clerk for Bethany Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas. She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, Basehor. A husband, John L Harnden Sr, died in 1989.
Survivors include her husband, John Searcy, of the home; four sons, John L harnden Jr, Basehor, William J Harnden and Michael M Harnden, Tonganoxie, and Daniel P Harnden, Overland Park; four daughters, Helen C. Ireland, Seymour, Mo., Christine M Eyerly, Basehor, Michele A Harnden, Rossville, and Amy B Miles, Tonganoxie; a brother, Donald McGraw, Lee's Summit, Mo.; three sisters, Helen Hedges, Geraldine Donelian and Joan Capra, all of Kansas City, Mo; 16 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
