Evans- Mrs. Laura E., 77, Clatskanie, died Dec 21 in a Longview hospital. She was born July 26, 1893, in Porterville, Calif., resided in Oregon for the past 26 years, 18 of those in Clatskanie. She was a bueaty operator most of her life and was a member of the American Legion Auxilary in Clatskanie.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Mary Grassborg of Clatskanie; one grandson, Tom Evans of Carmichael, Calif.; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Haakinson Funeral Chapel with Rev. KEnneth Schellbach officiating. Interment will be in Murray Hill Cemetery. Haakinson Funeral Home of Clatskanie is in charge.
