James E. Tripp, son of Ernest and Jessie Gaddie Tripp, was born October 20, 1906, and died March 4, 1994. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a Degree in Business. He married Virginia Roseland Murphy in 1937. They are the parents of one daughter, Erna Lynne Tripp Bringe. Mr. Tripp owned Tripp Bros. Hardware and Lumber. He was Director of the First National Bank, Petersburg, Treas. of the Greenview Rotary Club and Greenview CIA, Life Member of U of I Alumni Assoc. Past Master of the Greenview Masonic Lodge, Paul Harris Recipient, member of the Greenview Presbyterian Church, Deacon and Elder of the church, listed in Who's Who in the Midwest.
